    gtr front spindles

Does anyone have any pics of gtr front spindles? Are they wider where they bolt to the strut like the 626?

    I'm buying parts i don't need, With money I don't have, To impress people I don't know.

Some people are like slinkies. They're not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I am just about certain they are the same as std bg spindles. Beyond the shadow of a doub5 they are wider at that point than bf spindles. I have both std and gtr spindles and i do not see a difference there.

thanks Jay! I am using GD front spindles but looking for coilover options other than ksport. the GD spindles are wider than BG. I was hoping the gtr were wide like the GD. It would make it easier to find some.

To throw a wrench in here, I am almost certain they are wider than a normal bg spindle. When buying coilovers, the GTR is always listed with a different part than a normal bg GTX.

They are wider. My first set of KSports was a GTR set by mistake and the front mounts were wider.

Does anyone have a set of gtr spindles that the can measure? I'd like to see how much wider they are, I'm curious if the GD spindles are the same width.

I coulda sworn the only difference was lug count but will check again. My gtr spindles are in one lactaion and the std bg's are in another...

Is it basically just the strut mounting section that's wider? As in, the bearing outer diameter might be the same, so one might be able to swap bearings/hubs to something that is 5x114.3 without a huge fuss, in the front AND rear?

Been out of it awhile, need to get back on top of my projects and get them finished!

Just throw those GD spindles in a bridgeport and take an equal amount off of each side until they are BG width.

Then you'll be able to run the new YCW coilovers from Mfactory:
                          Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI
... The first FWD BG with a Toyota E153 transmission conversion in the USA!

You know? I have a set of GTR Knuckle assemblies. I should take measurements and throw together a parts list and check all interchangeabilities between the seems to be a common thing. I need to get my hands on some micrometers and such. The woman left so it's just me and the daughter, have nothing but free time and she loves being in the garage. Make a sticky of it or something, still searching for brake parts.
