          I've never sat in a Celica. I think my car is already enough of a mixed breed...

            I actually liked the low-ness of the MX3 seats in my Escort wagon. my head would brush the ceiling, and the stock seats actually presented a visibility problem (sort of what happens when I sit in an S2000, the stupid top of the windshield blocks my view.) The MX-3 seats put my noggin right where an "average" person's head would be, and I could see much better!

            I never ran spacers or anything to deal with tilting, I want to say that people were on crack, because no such lean existed for me, but that wouldn't be nice.

              I think the leaning problem happens in the BF chassis, but not the BG chassis. I certainly don't have any lean in my escort with 100% MX3 seat components.

              I'm only 5'10" so I don't have any headroom issues, even in my miata

                huh, I'm 5'10" too and had to foamectomy the driver's seat in my Miata to fit better (if I ever get another, it's getting a bucket mounted to the floor like in the 240)

                        probably longer, given the foam I took out was from the back of the seat (that removable panel in the NA seats)

                          If I'd have kept the miata, I would have done a foamectomy. I felt like I was a giant in a clown car, the top of the windscreen was like right at eye level.

                          I second just bolting the seats to the floorpan. That's what I would do if I get an NA again and throw in some fancy buckets..

                          FE3, or anyone else... Do you know if the recaro MX-3 rails sit lower than the standard MX-3 non-recaros?

                                What is lower lumbar tilt? Your talking about swapping the lower seat pans and putting the mx3 cushion in LX/escort pan?
