    'New' guy here.

Found this place as a recommendation from MSPE group on FB. I'm here to expand my knowledge on my car. I presently own a Mazdaspeed Protege (laser blue #2608). I'm looking to FSZE swap it since my engine I believe is on its way out and I can get a ZE on the cheap. only issue I'm running across is I don't know where to find the JDM/J-Spec ECU (mostly just don't know what the J-Spec version of my car is called) Any pointers in the right direction will be appreciated.

All that is too new for me to know anything about, I sorta specialize if BF/BG, but I bet the knowledge base is here...
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Greetings, and welcome. All this new-fangled stuff!! My newest Mazda is a 1990. Actually, all three of them are 1990, lol.

Appreciate the welcoming from what I've found out on researching so far is.
        FSZE engine - direct drop
FSZE ecu - not a plug and play.
Best route I've figured is run aspec ecu with a piggyback such as split second, haltech, or megasquirt.
