    Looking for a 5-speed BG in New England that runs, drives, and has no major rust issues. The closer to Boston the better, but I will travel for the right car. Budget is ~$1000.

        ^ EXACTLY! I have a nice rust free BG we'd consider selling in Chicago, IL area (will most likely get more serious about selling once spring/summer hits again) BUT after paying $800 just to have it shipped back to us from Phoenix, AZ plus our cost to get it and extra investment in parts to fix it up to reliable daily status, $1000 is not ever going to be on our radar! <-- just as happy keeping it ourselves as a city car/back up car. ...but honestly in our case our BG will most likely end up in a good friend's hands who needs very dependable reliable transportation.
