99/00 DX/LX to 99/00 ES Brake Caliper and Rotor Upgrade

Here's a list of all the part numbers you need to upgrade the front brakes on your 1999 or 2000 Protege from the tiny 9.3" rotors to the larger 10.2" rotors.

    (1) B26K-43-900 - Proportioning Valve
    (1) GAZR-33-99Z - Left Caliper
    (1) GAZR-33-98Z - Right Caliper
    (1) GCYD-33-23ZD - Brake Pad Set
    (2) BJ1Y-33-25X - Brake Rotor

    Everything is a direct swap.

Pictured are one of the new calipers, both new rotors, brake bad set, and my one of my old OEM rotors.

Not yet, I haven't swapped the brakes out yet. Waiting on my other caliper to come in, it's currently on backorder.

Using new parts, with my Mazda Racer Discount, approximately $500.

Good thinking Clint. I would be all over this if I still had my 2000.

$500 is not bad at all for brand new, OEM brake parts. Normally, I'd expect to pay that for one caliper, knowing some dealers.

try remanufactured calipers and generic OE replacement rotors from your local auto parts store if you're doing it on the cheap
