You might need to remove the battery for more room. The hoses could also be a problem as they are somewhat hard to take off. Take your time and you should be fine.

while you are at it remove the intake. And the fuel filter is a real PITA!!! makes sure ou have time to monkey around. and i'll put money that your fuel lines have solidified. making it next to impossible to pull it off.

It really is a PITA! You don't have much room to work in and the hoses can be a bitch to get off. I found that if you twist the filter, it helps to break it free. I ended up having to crawl underneath my car to get the bottom line loose. Have fun!

on my car we replaced it and it was dead center of the firewall.

took some effort and small hands (andres) to get the bottom hose off, and then back onto the new filter. they couldnt have put it anywhere harder tog et at on my car >:0
Its in the same place, on the firewall right behind and below the TB. And yeah, it takes small hands. Its easier to remove the intake and possibly the battery to make more room.

when i pulled off my fuel filter i had to cut the top line and replace it. once the top one is off the bottom one i found easiest to get to from underneath. but i have slightly smaller hands

Same thing I did, except I managed to get the top hose off. But the bottom one had to be removed from underneath.

                            I like needle-nose Vice-Grips. They don't slip off.
