Thanks, Ben. I was wondering if we were having a Kent Falls meet this year. I would prefer towards the end of the month only because an earlier date might conflict with family vacation time.02 DX Millenium Red - The Penultimate Driving Machine

Reasons to Attend the Kent Meet
There are many reasons to attend this event.
1. This meet has already become a hallowed, long-standing tradition in the Protege world even though this is only its 4th year. If you attend, you will become part of this tradition, feel better about yourself and gain new respect in the Protege community.
2. Location: Kent Falls State Park is located in beautiful, rural, western CT in a heavily wooded and scenic area. Its main scenic attraction is the series of waterfalls cascading down the mountainside. For those of you who are fans of waterfalls and have enjoyed visiting Niagara and who have either visited or seen photos of the mighty Victoria Falls, you'll definitely want to put Kent Falls on your itinerary. Though not as high, powerful or awe-inspiring as either Niagara or Victoria, Kent Falls, in all its rugged isolation, makes a quiet statement all its own.
3. Fun for the whole family: Definitely bring your wife, girlfriend, boyfriend or companion with you as there is something for everyone here. In addition to being a great place for a car meet, it's a good picnic and hiking area (you can climb all the way to the top of the Falls) and there's plenty of open space for the kids to play in. A comfort station is available.
4. Area Attractions: Kent Falls is located ~ 6 miles north of the town of Kent. This quaint little town is known for its fine restaurants and intriguing little antique shops and your womenfolk might enjoy visitng there. Just south of the Falls is located the Connecticut Antique Machinery Museum which houses an incredible display of, well, antique machinery. Just the thing for you antique machinery fans. Approximately 15 miles north of the Falls is the home of the world famous Lime Rock racetrack. Depending on the date for our meet and the available race schedule, it might be possible to see a race there the day after our meet.
5. Come to see your fellow enthusiast's mods. There's always something interesting to see here. For example, last year we got a chance to look at Ben's turbo installation in his 1.6L. A very neat, good looking job which will be added to this year by the addition of his new intercooler and his Miata rims. I'll be showing off my MSD suspension system and anyone who wants to see it can crawl under my car to see the pretty red springs, blue struts and red bars.
6. Come for the fellowship. Here's a chance to meet and talk with your fellow Protege enthusiasts and attach a face to that SN. Find out what your fellow Forum members are really like when they can't hide behind the internet. For example, I don't know what impression I give on the Forum but in real life I'm very quiet, shy and quite introverted. I do a lot of listening but I don't talk much because most of the time I don't know what to say. Shucks, you might say I'm kind of tongue-tied and bashful. You'll also get to meet many big-poster famous (or infamous) Forum members and in the past we've always had a couple of Moderators show up. I won't mention their names in case they don't want to reveal themselves, but don't worry as they never moderate us during the meet.
7. It's the American thing to do. Strike a blow against terrorrism by showing them we're not afraid to assemble in a group and hold a car event despite their threats.
Well, that will do it for now. From time to time we'll come up with more reasons for you to attend.
Happy Motoring!02 DX Millenium Red - The Penultimate Driving Machine
