Yeah the guy's name was 545hpGT on ERDT and other forums. He got tired of breaking axles so he converted it to RWD. I think low 11's or high 10's was what he was at FWD. It was a long time from when I first read about the project until it was actually done so I'm not too sure of all the details but I know it involved cutting out the entire rear floorpan and making a new frame. I think it's using the rear end and tranny from an RX-7, but I'm really not sure and he might have ended up going with a Miata drivetrain, either way it's still BP powered.

Here's his cardomain: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/318284

not to bad mouth him but if he learned how to drive he could have seen 9 fwd. guys in PR are doing it with the same power. the CS protege did a 11.6 with only 290whp. but the car is sick now.

In the 9 second club, FWD NO nitrous, just BOOST. The excuse about the axle is lame.

His times are crap for being rear wheel drive and on top of that using laughing gas.

Axle deal

That car has already done 9 second passes with a FWD on BOOST only.

The time he did with BOOST and Nitrous barely making the 9's, 9.99.

I am not starting a battle either, all I am saying is he went rear wheel drive because of bustin axles which is a lame excuse. The matter of being unique in the 9 second club is not what I refer to. I know there are plenty of cars doing 10's, but making 9 second passes with boost and nitrous is nothing amazing.
