    Loose Shifter

What causes my shifter to have alot of slop in it. I replaced the shifter rod bushings ( the ones that are in the knuckel right before the trannie) and they helped a little, but it still has alot of slop.
Roads? Where we are going we don't need roads...

I saw the one on the support rod and it looked ok (although I may just change it anyway) - how do you get to the one on the shifter? Is it on the bottom side?

yes its at the bottom pivot point where the shifter connects to the shift rod. energy suspension sells a polyurethane support rod bushing thats probably as cheap or cheaper than an OEM one. suspension.com has it under the escort ZX2

Oh do they? Son of a bitch. I made one out of a bushing I bought at the hardware store. I think it cost me 3 bucks total, but for the irritation of sizing it to fit I probably would have been happier just getting the ES poly one.

Not to be pretentious but mines are cheaper, lighter and won't corrode cause they aren't steel.

But I once had the bronzoils, great product!
