It pains me to write this to some extent but all things have a conclusion. It is time to put a conclusion to my Escort. Many of you know what has gone into this car and I would love to see it go to an enthusiast. I am not in a rush and can wait for the right person to purchase the vehicle. I have some flexibility on the price, but you also have to consider the extra parts that come with the vehicle (VJ23 turbo, roll cage, many misc replacement parts, stock wheels, etc ...) and the fact that the car is complete and passes emissions.
If it doesn't sell, I will be enjoying it again next summer.
I prefer not to part out for now, so don't ask about that if that's your intention.
If you are asking for my reasoning to sell - well - the project is complete for me. I have learned lots and done lots and frankly don't drive the car as much as it should be driven. Having it sit and take up garage space and having to pay for insurance adds up. It's time to move on to new projects and I can't do that until I send the Escort off.
I WILL STILL be building MS units for the community and we are launching some new and exciting products in the new year. Alas, I still have the auto 94 Protege LX.
Ask me any questions you may have if you can't find the answers below:
This has been my pride and joy for over 5 years. I have built this car up to what it is today from the ground up. The car is very reliable - you can drive it to the track and back home and everything functional in the car is new or almost new.
The car makes around 280-300whp at 18-20psi. The turbo and motor are capable of in excess of 350whp On low boost(15 psi) it traps over 107Mph on street tires. The modifications/build are listed below. Some highlights include a full forged motor, LSD transmission, fully tuned standalone. The parts chosen are OEM or better to retain reliability and driveability.
The car passes emissions and has done so for the last two years without issues without removing ANY parts from it. This can truly be a weekend warrior and a grocery getter. It is best suited for someone who will take it to the track and around corners .
The car has its exterior blemishes. The paint is not in great shape as is expected of an 18 year old car. It was never meant to be a show car, it was always meant to perform and be driven. There are some dents and scratches and a tiny bit of rust at the bottom of the passenger side rear quarter that I have fixed and painted. There is no frame rust and no rust of the strut towers. The car has not seen any snow in the last 3 years as it has been garaged during the winter.
Chassis has 244 000km on it. The brand new engine, clutch, transmission have 10 000 km on them. There is nothing broken or wrong with the car and it can be driven to the track or mall the moment you pick it up.

Pictures in my vB gallery, I can get detailed pictures as required:
The car is parked indoors for the winter and is located in Vancouver, Canada.
Asking price is 5000 USD and there is some room to play but it will also dictate what comes included with the car.
