BP 22 TB vs BP 26 TB

    My work log
As far as I can tell, the BP22 and BP26 (GTX) throttle bodies are just the same.

Edit- The BP 22 came out of an automatic EGT and not a Protege SE which made for some confusion early on. This edit is to clarify that.

I'll follow up on this with an actual trial fit on the GTX manifold. It won't be for a day or two though.

thats the one i just sent you right? its from an egt, that was auto... the difference in all the throttle bodies is the actual bore size. like how the stick tb is a tiny bit bigger than the auto, but its like a mm or two... the b8 and b6 had even smaller bore diameters.. but the bp22/bp26/bg8z are all the same size, ive had all of them already..... the next best option to the auto tb swap, but its really mainly for ms users, is to leave your stick tb, and get a variable tps sensor from the late 80s early 90s bmws, they bolt right on, but you have to make an adapter harness, then you get the bigger tb, and the variable tps... ill be swapping my stick tb back on when i find one of those tps sensors in the u pull.........

the real difference you will see in those throttle bodies, isnt the inlet side, its the machined side, thats where you measure....

Sohc is 55mm and bp/gtx is 60mm IIRC. That's really the only difference

Yea, this is what you sent me.
It fits just fine and as you said, they look exactly the same. My confusion about the SE thing just messed up this whole thread.

Stick or auto, they are all the same in regards to bore, if came from a BP. They are all 5mm smaller if from a B8.

I put the TB on and it looks like a good fit. I should replace the gasket but I don't have one and the old one is stuck on like glue. I say this here so that if I have a problem later on, I'll remember this.
