First pics of new enduro car!!!

Here are my first pics of my new enduro car! The cage is a full 6 point cage from a place called Bones Welding that only costed $260 tacked in! It's a '92 protege LX with a 1.8 DOHC and a 5 speed. It's not finished yet, but it's getting closer! I'm planning on painting it Sonic Blue from an '03 Mustang, with Performance White (from the '09 Mustang) racing stripes. Keep in mind, I'm looking for sponsors for this season! I still have to finish the welding on the cage, weld the doors shut, install a door plate, install the 5 point harness, install the tubular manifold that i'm getting from yunvmyegt, fix the rust, install the correct wheels and tires, replace the radiator hoses, flush the radiotor out and dump distilled wate in with water wetter, and a bit more.

That's a nice roll cage. You'll like having the side bars where they are after you trim the doors and weld them shut. I love race cars!
miss my '93 LX at every corner

Now finished welding the cage, painted the cage, installed the door plate, installed the window net, replaced radiator hose, installed cup holder (made out of the factory resonator, lol!), installed the speaker, and finished up the wiring. Only thing left is paint! YAY!!!!

People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

Next wednesday is practice at 141 speedway, so I'll be running it then. The first race is hopefully the 15th of next month at the milwaukee mile.

well the speaker is kinda ghetto, and the cup holder is definitely ghetto, and your seat belt clip mesh in the window I think would qualify as ghetto

Not dissing or anything, its just not "polished" that's what makes it cool I think, I mean if we all wanted awesomely civilized cars we wouldn't be driving our BGs

If I'm not mistaken, the speaker is required by the race rules, yes? Like it is in Hornet cars? Lowbuck enduro racing is supposed to be ghetto..
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Oh, ok. I just didn't know what gheto meant. The reason it's like this is because there's a $1000 car claim, so I can't spend much money. I just use whats laying around. The rods for the window net is from my grandpa's scrap pile, the seatbelt for the window net was in a chevy beretta parts car, and the resonator was off of this car. The speaker mount is also scrap metal. The speaker is off of this car. There are 2 reasons I moved it. One is that since there's no windows, so the speaker would have gotten wet if they were kept in the oriinal spot, as we race rain or shine, or if it's snowing. I couple years back, 96 cars raced in a foot of snow, lol! The other reason is that I couldn't hear the speaker because the exhaust is so loud. The speaker is required in the rules. The track officials use a transmitter to tell us if there's a red flag, as we can't always see the flagman. We can all stop quicker this way. Here's the website for the series I race in. The rules are on there as well. It says stock parts only, but everyone bends that rule a little, lol! http://iraceiss.com/ISS/Home.html

Yes, it's like hornet cars. Here's the link to the series for more info on it. http://iraceiss.com/ISS/Home.html

I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Racerboy, I like that website! 7 escorts out of 9 cars on the page, lol!!

I'm actually going to have to rig up some sort of radio/speaker setup myself, because FVSCC, one of the clubs I run with, uses a transmitter on 88.3 for announcing everything.

sort of a PITA sometimes, since it's a running commentary the whole time, and gets a bit distracting when trying to concentrate on the right way to go sideways into a corner at 70mph.

                          Good luck in Milwaukee, man!!

Yeah, there are always tons of escorts racing. Last year, there were at least 25 each race!

Yeah, Ik what you mean about having to listen to the announcer. I had to listen to the announcer during my ice race. I couldn't concentrate at all. But in the new series i'm running in, they only say stuff in emergencies.
