    GI: solid lifters

    so im talking to a friend that works for Mazda to see what kinda price he can get 99-00 miata solid lifters for. anyone interested? im just feeling the crowd.

      Just keep in mind you'll also need shims and cams...

        does anyone know if the solid lifters are compaitble with the b6 motors?

          If there is a way to get the GT/GTX/GTR turbo cams to work with the solid lifters, I'm in.

          Yes, lifters for the B6 and B8 are the same.

            If I remember correctly, it's ok to use hla cams with solid lifters, but not the other way around.

                Yes, but Mazda uses the same HLAs for the SOHC and DOHC 1.6L and 1.8L engines offered in the BFs and BGs, I don't see why the solid lifters wouldn't work?

                  this is true, if you can get them shimmed right. but then you arent taking advantage of the solid lifters capability to support higher ramp rates... might as well just stay HLA
