I'm trying to weigh out my options on the trans and here is what I've come up with so far. I also think I need to get the pistons re-ringed as the motor had started to smoke(fog machine) only at start up.
-Pull trans and get a bench rebuild
-get a junk yard trans
-swap to a manual & to FS
I'm open to other options and would like to hear how others have resolved/fixed a bad transmission.
I would like to fix the car in lieu junking this one and buying another driver.
