I recently purchased a gauge cluster from a '99 ES Protege (with tach, without keyless entry) to swap into my '99 DX (no tach, no keyless). The connectors all popped on, no problem. All my gauges *except* my tach are working fine.
Does anyone have any experience with this swap? I flipped through alldata and couldnt find a straight-up wire from the PCM to the cluster that would signal the tach, so I'm guessing I need to wake up the PCM or gauge computer to realize its there now. I also did the input/output test on the gauges themselves to make sure the tach was functional, and it is.
Bah, any help would be awesome...I dont wanna buy a big, ugly tach for my lil 1.6L, all stock beater.
