Yep. I thinking that MKIII lip would really set it off. One day, I shall find out. May be just right imo.

One of my bulbs started to turn a deep purple and went out, so I broke down and ordered the new Osram Xenarc 66240. They are suppose to be better than the Phillip + D2S, but I shall see soon enough! Literally!

A buddy of mine saw my retrofit and now hes doing it. He went with the FXRs like you. Cant wait to see his finished product.
I would like to see pics of your new bulbs when you get them.

What is he doing it on? Pro? Scort? Those jokers are huge if he didnt know. Do him a favor and find my thread so he can get a comparison on how big they are with the solenoid on the bottom. I had to hack my housings.

edit: they claim 700 watts max, and mine put out 958. Yatzi! Thats why i went with the L7 (600, 1200) instead of the L3 (400, 800).

Lol. And out only cost me $348.59 through my job. I got it installed and sounds magnificent! And its the cleanest install of mine to date.

That l7 10 sounds really good too. Drops lower than the alpine type x 12 I had, but not as loud. But I did have 1000 watts rms bring fed to thst monster, whereas here oius only getting.420 rms. Pretty amazing.

My first Car. 81 Delta 88. 350 Olds "Rocket" engine, 350 trans, 10 mpg. This car had a mean audio setup. 2 deep duty cycle side posts, alpine cda-9835 hu, alpine m1005 mono amp, coustic 75x2, coustic 35x2, poweracoustic mofo15x2, 5 cu ft ported box, alpine type r 6x9 and alpine 3.5" 2 way.

Its wasn't the cleanest bass, but when it drops THAT low and hits THAT hard, who cared. Plus, I was 17. Who REALLY cared!

The old sub box outline. Old house molding to keep the sub box from sliding around. Also made a floor for easier install. I used this in the Pro.

Only needed one piece. So that means that this trunk is half the size of the Delta.
