Man I forgot what it was like to have AC in my car lol... good way to keep things from sliding all over the place. I had that problem with my 2 12s in their huge box and it got annoying. Sold the setup so no more bass lol

I wish to forget whats its like not having ac. its terrible. I'll work and play in the heat, but by golly wow, I don't want to drive in it! And you havenever heard such a noise until a 150 pound box slides around in the trunk from dodging a deer going 65mph. I think I pee'd a little when it slammed into the rear qtr panel.

Ya I dont think I know what thats like splly going 65mph. I did however put a huge crack on my tailgate plastic when I was launching my car once. It flew from against the rear seats and into the interior panel. All we heard was tires spinning then BOOM, CRACK! My brother was like uhhh something just broke... hahaha.

Car is looking very nice since I saw it last. If you have any questions about trimming and fitting that piece on the manual belts that was my old blue car!

Thanks! Little has changed. I saw the pics you posted using the usdm trim and cutting it to fill that weird void, and imma try that soon as I fix my a/c and maybe get a power window conversion done. Might even do it the same day.

But the next thing on my list is to save up and get some ground controls coilovers before settling and getting this house. My three must haves was a two car garage, hard wood floors, and a low angle driveway. It would be nice to be able to get the car in the drive way with out killing my future vw mkIII lip. Dang realtor talking about $970/month. Sheesh.

Yeah. It fell again on my way to a interview, so its resting peacefully on the exhaust again. I bought some sway bear bushings that imma try out once it cools down a little.

It didnt make it faster, but the 8inch side rims def make it handle better. That car, with the 9C1 Caprice sway bars on it and gas shocks could handle with the best of them. It puts my Protege to shame. Stuff a Chevy highwinder destroked 350 or a Olds 440 in it for the torque, rebuild the rear end with some 3.73 or 4.10 gears and some sticky nitto's and it would make a hell of a track slut.

When that drops again, remove as much rubber from the inside of there as you can. Then drill a hole in the shifter base forward and to the right of the shifter, and stuff a bolt down through the base and stabilizer, get a nut from the hardware store that will anchor against the base so you can tighten the bolt without holding the nut.
Then I used Window weld to "refill" around the shifter base. With the bolt, it will not drop again anytime soon, and the window weld has actually reduced the temp inside the shifter console by completely sealing the shifter from the exhaust tunnel. inside of the car stays mildly cooler.

I just made an anti drop bracket like this one for my race car because it kept dropping down whenever I ran on rough tracks. Works awesome. Never had it drop through the floor since.

Edit: Not my bracket. Just a picture of one I copied.
