That may not be a bad idea...I know that next winter I'm pulling the engine to do the engine bay... actually the whole front end...I think I'll get some stainless bolts and replace the existing ones.

All this secondary work I'm doing will definitely pay off when the time comes that I need to remove replace and or overhaul any major part... There's nothing worse than working on a car that has rusted parts... everything breaks in your hands...

Getting there

yeah... shouldn't be too long for the clear coat to be purchased. CN pulled my week's vacation this week... they're short of conductors and I need 4 days to sand, prime, paint and clear coat the roof. For sure another 2 weeks before I can take that week's vacation so I'll figure something else out...

Not much left to do until the roof gets painted...sanded my sideskirts, put the front wheels on, dropped, it started it and let it idle outside...gave it some sun...

All I have left to do is pull the off white interior moldings from my box of parts and prep them for black and clear coat...

Been a month

Wow a month already...Although I haven't posted pics I have been working on her.... I just got caught up in some discussions regarding the way some people are treated on this site and I subsequently let myself get carried away.

What is most important right now is to sincerely apologize to FE 323 and Mazda Powered for letting my emotions get the best of me. I appreciate some constructive comments made on the thread by some, others not so... Deadly Sleeper is still what I consider persona non Grata and he will be the deciding factor on whether I cancel my paid subscription or not. His eyelids signature proves that he is a child, and when I finally get fed up of looking at it, I'll probably leave the site...I have received several emails from members who have been subject to his lack of professionalism and immature attitude so I'm not alone. They have also told me that it wouldn't matter what I did; there is no safety net, it will go unchecked and avoided. For lack of a better choice of words, I'm barking up a dead dog's ass!! lol. So I figure I cancel my subscription as a paying member, but I will wait until I am sure my emotions aren't getting in the way. You don't toss the entire apple basket because of a few rotten apples; however, my money could most probably be better spent elsewhere...

The end result of this is that now I know whom it is that deserves and should be respected here. I won't give any air time about those who shouldn't.

In closing, nobody ask me for proof, find it yourselves, it's there, search... You want to shut me up? fine; ban me or whatever. I should be allowed to say what I want.

If you feel so you need to respond negatively don't bother I won't answer. I am venting/posting my final arguments here because the thread in question is closed. It seems to me I put something out there for the benefit of the site, and got an earful for being honest and for stepping on people's egos.

Anyway, enough said case closed...I started it, I should have the right to close it...and the spelling is correct...

Back to work

So I've finished painting the roof, painted my interior moldings, installed all the clips and stuff on the front cowl and finally installed the windshield..Next move is to clean the interior a bit, reinstall the sunroof, headliner and complete the interior.

looking good! I'm looking forward to getting a spray gun myself so I can start doing paint work on my car...I like how you tapped off the roof tho, gives me some ideas on how to tackle mine lol, has about 4 bare spots that need some attention.

As for the other crap dude, don't worry about it, I'm over it, as most of the people...water under the bridge

JDM Goodness

I've been at her pretty hard over the past several days as I'm getting anxious to drive my li'l bee...lol

I've reinstalled the interior, installed the leather headliner as well... it looks so good!!!! I can't wait to get the sun visors back from the upholsterer.
I don't want to show the interior because the off white of the visors, sunroof panel and mouth trim throw it off...but the interior looks really good! The painted moldings came out real nice too!!

The car is almost complete... fenders, hood inside fenders...all done...I took it for a quick burn before installing the headliner and sunroof, and at over 30 mph the wind comes blowing into the car from the sunroof and causes the roof to vibrate like crazy... so much so you feel it in your ears...

Today I installed the JDM headlights and corners...I test fitted the foglight grill and as a result, my next task will be to cut the front of the hood to fit the grill, cut out vent holes, install the GTR vents, sand prime and paint...
Frigg I wish I had the GTR front bumper...
