I have a question...I haven't read much on Megasquirt, but I think that MS does not support EGR... Since my car is ripped apart again, I'm going to redo all lines front to back.
Should I bother installing an EGR line?
If I remove it, I need to block the line at the filler neck or at the check cut valve. Is there anything else I should do regarding gas tank pressure etc?
Is this the way to go?91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

lol... yeah, yeah evap system...I thought that was what EGR meant... ANYWAYS>>>>>back to the question... although I don't need to pass emissions I personally want to keep that stuff. And I think when the car reaches 20 years old, it doesn't require emission testing. Is this what MS doesn't support?
The EVAP is controlled electronically (I think)...
BTW did you ever hear the expression " there are no stupid questions; just stupid answers"...lol...more to come!!91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

if you keep it. the system needs a check valve so it does not see boost pressure & pressurize the gas tank.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

Yep, or if you have an engine swap done outside of it's chassis range you can get a hot rod status for it from the dealership to help your chances at passing emissions testing...at least in Ontario it is. Doesn't affect out insurance either lol
Also that EVAP crap is just...well crap lol, I got rid of most of mine and I personally do not smell fuel on hot days.-Jack

in all honesty. id almost be willing to put money down that an emissions testing facility wouldn't know the difference between a BP & a FE3. they appear nearly identical short of the intake manifold- merely pulling the factory sticker off if it says 2.0 on it should be sufficient---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

Sorry for going so far off topic, I just don't want you to be misinformed about legalities. If you ever have to get the FE3 tested, I'd probably not even mention it. Also, if you get pulled over in Toronto for instance, and they pop your hood and see anything emissions wise missing, you will get fined.Last edited by DuRWooD; 11-19-2011, 12:10 PM.sigpic
