on we go
Replaced the gas tank, evap lines and filler neck, got the car started. Needed to make sure the car ran during the winter. Started it up everything was ok. Had 2 electrical issues but were resolved. Next move is to put one more coat of paint inside, then reinstall the interior.91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

I feel your pain, My 323 project is pretty rusty too. Couple of ideas for you though. I ran into a similar problem with very thin Mazda metal. Make your patch panels overlap drill 3/16 holes in your patch panel and mig weld the holes closed , kinda like a spot weld. Works really well with 110V flux core migs. (likely what you have, I have one too). For non-structure, use fiberglass! Fiberglass never rusts and from my experiance the patch last longer then the car LOL. I use duct tape and cardboard to make "molds" for the fiberglass. Say you have a hole in the floor. Duct tape a piece of cardboard to the underside of the car and patch the top with fiberglass. When the fiberglass has hardened remove the tape and cardboard. My 323 is almost a Corvette now (fiberglass content). The fiberglass potions of the 323 are stonger then the thin Mazda sheet metal parts of it.Dominic Toretto rocks a MaZda and his cell phone number starts in "(323)"
