Done with the rad and grill...

Rad support and brackets are painted, dried and installed... same for the grill...

next job

Brakes front and rear... metal lines were repaired when I replaced the gas tank and evaps / filler neck...this sucker will pass emission, man...

clean up time

I'll sandblast the plates and hubs and replace the calipers...I'll also install those springs for the handbrake as per the how to sticky. I have to completely replace the 3 handbrake cables anyways. front brakes shown too...mess aren't they... the car needs to pass a safety after the brakes are done... I put on a puny muffler on for now so I wouldn't get any grief at inspection time. It's one of those mufflers with the ( what someone else on CP called ) tiny curved squirrel dick for a tailpipe...lol

Yeah, no problem...glad to help... I hit 2 Deer on the way home...I broke one's legs and the other one got hit but was able to take off...3 ass dents and a bunch of deer hair......I'll post something so u can see... frigg there wasn't a dent on that car...

anyways, here is what I did with the sandblaster yesterday... no sand left...

Here are the pics... In case anyone else cares, this is a 91 Honda Accord with an H22 V Tech Engine, Exedy racing clutch, headers....bought it for 1100, put a tranny in it.... I wanted to put an H22 but had to go with the F22 as I didn't have the cash... Then I gave it to my wife...


Last pic shows the dents... not too bad but a pita nonetheless...

hmmm those dust shields were in decent shape ... mine were completly rotted and paper thin

yeah, they turned out pretty good, can't wait to get down there and see this thing in person.

Sucks for the accord, but like I was sayin on MSN, I'm pretty sure you can get that out.

Rear suspension

Pulled the rear suspension off... checked the towers, a bit of surface rust but looks good...sandblasting is on the agenda on the next clear warm day.

your car its coming good!! those protege gt have nice seat. you should use por-15 for the suspension part. that what i'm going to use.

really bad position to have rust there.. I suggest to strengthen it..

are you going to use some por-15 or some kind of other rust prevention spray paint alone is not enough

Yeah...

I'll sandblast it, wire brush it and get some type of protectant on there...the rust isn't deep in the fender wells...
