priced out headbolts from mazda, they are pricey. 13.84 each. i know to get studs and i also know that i can reuse my old bolts, but im not paying for the repair, im only pricing parts.

im getting a low mileage engine to replace the heart for my escort. bought a clutch from kyclutch today. 180 shipped for a dual friction clutch. should be here friday.

no i didnt, i only got the one price. he asked how i drove and what i used the car for.

Great project man! Good choice on clutch (quality and good priced), that's what I run on my Accord, along with a Fidanza 8lb flywheel.

thanks. for now im just going to reuse a stock flywheel, just get it machined and possibly lightened by a friend at school. gotta set aside money for the engine. hopefully i can pick it up soon. then gotta figure out what else i want to get

took the harness out last night, going to repair some connections and remove some unused wires. bought neumans welded motor mounts.

while i was getting some tools out of my car and moving it, i noticed that the ebrake now has some slop before it grabs the cable. Some more adjustment to the ebrake cable is required again after the rear miata brake upgrade. you have to let it out to get the cables on the calipers and now i had to re-tighten it after approx 2 months

what would be an easier way to get the block and tranny out of the car? my instructor thinks we could drop it out the bottom easily but i think i should pull it out of the top. what do you guys think?

i got the engine and transmission out on tuesday. just got back from picking up the new engine. i now have an extra intake manifold and a spare exhaust manifold, which i dont need. so those will sit around until i sell em
