plus i will be making a flat mounting surface that will bolt to the stock battery tray location where the msd 6al 150-200 amp circuit breaker and will be mounted

                mounted
If you're mounting it in the trunk make sure it's a dry cell battery, like an Optima or a Miata battery.

i wouls used an enclosed batteru box with a vent. some tracks require it to be enclosed and to have a vissible cut off switch. you dont need to follow those recomendation if you dont plan on going to the track. use the biggest gauge cable possible for positive. i have an upgraded altanator too but i still have problems some times with charging

Judging from the shape of the tray he pictured he's using an Optima gel cell battery, which doesn't require a battery box.

gel cell battery And a low impedance wire and you should be fine. When I did mine I went with monster cable 2 ga wire. A little bit more expensive, but the better the wire the more power you will be able to transfer...

fyi, the e30 bmw 3 series came with trunk mounted batteries standard. so they have 0 gauge wire running the length of the car you can get for really cheap if you find one at a jy. that's what i plan on doing.

relocation plans canceled due to nhra & ihra rules stating that i need a box and cut off switch
