@ Viper_707 ... nope its on the right way ... the Magnaflow stamping is on both sides . and as Mazda_Powered said ... Its a round tip so it didnt matter which way it mounted .
@ Mazda_Powered.. " Thanks "
@ CrazyCanadian ... I did a combo of both mock up with the old system and tacking it while in the car . I have had it on and off the car well over a dozen times. Its been a work out crawling under and out of the car. As for havin her running by sunday . NOPE :0) ... But very very soon .
nice, that looks like something I purchased to protect my turbo's outlet pipe since it runs near the exhaust and radiator lol. Should work out well for you, I prefer that over the fabric wrap people use, they sometimes hold moisture and cause premature rust *shivers* lol
- The engine install is complete.
- Radiator is in, filled up and all hoses hooked up.
- Fuel pump swapped over and powered up.
- Clutch swith wired up ... but not sure if it is correct. I think I did it right .
- The exhaust is finally finished , all wrapped up and installed.
I am just going through now and double checking everything before the first start up .
Checking timing , TDC on number one etc . Checking for power to all the right places.
But I think I am not getting a good ground to my starter, as I painted the plate between the tranny and block .. OOoops . I ment to clean that up before install to make sure it was grounded .. I forgot .
Anyways hopefully by the weekend I will haveit all dialed in to start it up .
Hey Rob the paint you have on their wont affect the ground to the starter its self... Mazda has a problem of not running enough grounds between battery/motor/body from factory... If you think you are having a grounding problem you should add your own ground straps from the block to the body, battery to the body and battery to the block... Its a little over kill but a good thing to do...
Man I dread the day this car see's a puddle of water.. lol.. Its sooo nice and clean its a shame to know it'll see the streets.. haha...
@crazycanadain... well once its finished I have to do something with my time... cleaning it to keep it like new will occupy me a few hours ... Plus Keep me out of trouble .
As I have said in the past I like it all SHOW and GO !!
After some issues, wiring that is. Well I still have few more to figure out . ...
But it fired up and is running, might have a small vacuum leak , as the idle hunts up and down. No leaks runs smooth , all systems check out OK.
Now it's time to get a permit to run it to set the rings.
Hopefully have all the loose ends buttoned up by end of the month. Then time to start detailing the exterior, paint new bumper, repaint mirrors, upper spoiler and the GTR lower spoiler in finally scored.
I am planning on a few vids of it running down road ... As soon as I have them I will post it up for all to see.
