wow that sucks about the turbo . they offer any sort or warranty on the external bits? unlikely i guess

Hi Jack ... Yes it is more of a whale tail and it stands off the hatch about 3/4" to 1 " .

From what I have read it is from only 200 produced ? and was on the GTR ( GT-ae ) model.

This one allows for air to be pushed down onto the lower spolier. unlike the current LED one I have.

        @ mazdanoob .

Their warranty for turbo/supercharged engines is crap.

Its like a 7 day warranty from time of purchase.

So It takes ...what 5 to 7 days just for shipping to me.

And then they want it to be installed by a professional shop and running. Only then will they do anything about warranty issues.

So, If I installed it I wouldnt have a warranty, plus by the time I got it 7 days would have passed.

To add to this issues the motor was missing items like the injector resistor pack , the knock control sensor box .

Thankfully I was able to track those items down.

Want to know the bad ??

Well I picked up my block from the machine shop and got it home .
proceeded to bolt it to the engine stand. Once it was on I spun it around to expose the bottom end .

I was planning my day of reassembly....

But I had to take a double take to what I was seeing ... I was and still am sick to my stomach .

I thought the machine shop had caused this damage to the block . So I checked all my pictures of the tear down .

How the hell did I miss this F*ckin hole in the block !!!! I am so stupid and embarassed to even admit I did see it .

                    The block is usesless..

When I did my tear down I didn't find any sign of metal or water in the oil pan or the crank case , the piston & rod etc. had no sign of damage.

So I dont even remeber seeing this hole , and due to no signs of damage I had to of totally over looked this . I still dont know how .

I also am shocked that the machine shop didn't see this after all the time they had it and all the machining they did to it.
I have had lots of work done by them in the past and I know if they see any problem they call me to tell me if there is a issue ... but they didn't say a word.

So there goes a bunch of money to machining for nothing , plus now I have to source another block and do all the machining again ...
