Well, my fan issue is finally solved.

I put in a '94 ECU and problem went away. Fan is now off until computer tells it to come one, etc - working normally.

So for some reason the 93 ECU wasn't happy with the sensor I put in - but at the same time it wasn't unhappy with it because it didn't give me the 69 CEL code if it either didn't see the sensor or the sensor was sending out of spec signals.

Of course, when you solve one thing, something else comes up - now my ProSport water temp gauge is bouncing like crazy (it did it once before, so it predates the ECU change). 70% of the time it will read temperature normally (170-205*F), and the rest of the time the needle just bounces from 250-300 degrees. The temps are normal (checked with another gauge + the stock gauge). The ground is solid....I wonder if the sending unit/sensor is just going crazy. Don't know if it should, it has less than 5k miles on it....

I must say, I do NOT get tired of girlies whipping out their iPhones in traffic and snapping pics... almost every day this car ends up on someone's Facebook feed

Quite the conversation starter, as well...haven't asked for bewbs yet, but with summer coming, who knows

I think I ought to keep a camera in the car just to take pics of those taking pics

As for car work, I got the lights wired for a trailer. Next pics will hopefully include the 323 on the boat ramp...I can't wait, the sunshine is calling

                  to mr Dan [Sac]

I would personally like to extend a huge round of applause on this build. congrats on tieing ROTM w/ Deeaone. two VERY clean rides.

I love the fact that NEITHER of you went over the top with bling. Keep it clean and stock looking is (in my eyes) the best way to go.

AND i just started reading your work log about 4 hours ago. I have read every word on every post and looked at every picture at least 2 times. Thank you for allowing me to so diligently procrastinate on my homework! It has been well worth the trouble! tomorrow, i will most likely pick back up on Page 34 where i left off to see this build thru to the end!

I feel i speak for all members of CP when i say you are awarded +A billion prop points! Keep up the good clean work and make sure to share pics of the nudity you encounter in your warm state of CA.

                  sincerely, a jaw dropped fan

You could very well have air trapped in the system.. Often times I see that kind of thing happen after a cooling system service when it wasn't burped properly..

Could be, but it's likely the gauge as other ProSport users have reported similar episodes. I also installed an OEM overflow/burp tank from a Geo Metro to keep things as factory-engineered as possible.

Rumor has it that some OEM GTR sideskirts might make their way in my greasy hands soon!

I'll have to go through the receipts to figure out the fitting - the outboard side was a -8AN male fitting, the inboard was whatever the Maximum Motorsports thread pitch used on their oil filter housings.

Some pics from today's stormy afternoon - these are cell phone pics, and the car is pretty dirty, as it rained for the past 24 hours pretty hard.
