The consensus is that it looks better in person than in the pics, from those that have seen it. I think it looks the same, but maybe it's because I see it every day.

I suppose if I saw Eva Mendes on a daily basis for a year, including in the mornings, after a while I'd think she's just 'aight' :D:D

Well after fudging around with the GTR skirts I think I may not put them on after all. I'll do one more test fitting, but thus far they kind of fight with the flares for real estate, and frankly I don't want to cut one or the other just to make them fit right, and I won't just glue them on to look like crap - especially since i am planning on selling the car outright in the next couple of months, or trading for a lesser Mazda + cash.

We'll see how it goes in about 8 days or so when my spring break starts.

I'll post some up in a week or so. To do a proper mock-up I have to unbolt the first fastener of the flare where the side skirt encroaches on it in order to slide the skirt under the flare to see the proper fit.

If I do put them on, I am pretty convinced that they'll be painted black (they're black now but need repainting), because it really buttons up the 2-tone nicely, with both bumper lips and the flares being black. I didn't think black skirts would look good, but I was wrong.

I agree that having the skirts black would really pop with the 2-tone.

Sucks that they don't fit as nice n easy as you wanted, but I still think they'd set the car off huge. They'd make the cars body look more uniform...I'm not even able to describe how I think they'd really benefit the car haha, it's time for bed I think.

Very nice Dan. My hardon for this car is ever growing!

I know its a little late notice, but if your still looking for a KLZE, my buddie up here has a fully built KLZE motor, forged and has never been started or installed he's trying to sell. He was going to put it in his drag probe like yours, but he wrecked the probe a few years back, and has had the engine ever since. Just a thought.

Oh, and I would give one of my 3 testicles to ride in this thing, she looks mean!

Probably not - they're most likely to go with the car when I sell it, whether they're installed or not.

But now I need to find a pair of a-pillar covers (exterior). The driv....errr, the LEFT side one has decided to detach itself from the car on the freeway this morning (only one of its clips was unmolested, so it was only a matter of time).

I left the GTR skirts in the sun on a level surface and that has done them quite well - they're pretty much back in the original shape now. Whenever I find the time, I'll try to get them mocked up, but right now I'm up to my neck in reviving my '91 Miata with a ton of maintenance parts (clutch, gearbox seals, timing belt, water pump and gaskets, VCG, front brakes, air/fuel filter, all fluids replaced, thermostat, a couple of sensors...what can I say, it was a pile!

On the other hand, I've begun final preparations for selling Audrey. Smogged it on sunday, and now i'm cleaning it up and tying up the loose ends - by next sunday she'll be parked for good, as I've now acquired a '97 Probe GTS as a daily driver.

The pile in the garage (i added the tonneau cover, the top needs a bit of stitching):

                                And the GTS:
