I've talked about a bar like this for a while and then I found this one:

I'd be more interested in yours because I don't really know much about the other company's quality. You seem to know what you are doing, plus you are local, as in the south west region, versus hong kong or wherever they are located. How much do you think you could produce them for If we got a group buy of 10 or more people interested in them?

Let me check into what the material would cost if I bought enough for ten---they use nearly 10 feet each! I was originally going to sell them for $225, but if you organize the buy and can get ten then I'll make it worth your time.

Does that other bar do double duty as a skidplate mount and chassis brace?
I see its bolted to that flimsy area in the front where the radiator is supported.

Yes, that front bar is where the skidplate will start and come back underneath to the 4 post brace-should give a good angle to slide over rocks. It bolts on inside the factory towhooks which unfortunetly got covered up. The whole thing shouldn't weigh too much---using 1/8" 6061 aluminum for the plate, hoping the added structure of the braces will help it live...

Me too, but I'd have to remove my S/T ad-on bar. I don't want to do that.

does the front most bar actually serve any structural purpose?? or is it just mounting for the skid plate?

The front bar doesn't do a whole lot---just support the skidplate, however if I tied it back into the brace it would---it would also be nearly impossible to remove unless I slipjointed something.
