    you gotta get some better engine mounts to keep it from rocking into the rad.

      I spent hours looking for a rad, found a good KLZE 326 / Protege V6 rad. Note the width and height are reversed on this web site. I am thinking this Audi rad will fit "in" the rad support. (not behind it or in front of it)

          o yea for sure. they were filled with window weld wich isnt holding up well at all

          so ive got something else im going to try in the next couple days

            anyone ever measured up a scirocco rad? seems like it could be a decent option possibly. and there are aftermarket ones thats arent insanely expensive.

                rad height for the scirocco rad is a little too high. anything higher than 14" wont fit in the rad support

                  Well guys I havent really updated this too much lately. That would be because I havent had any time to get anything done. Plus I have been dealing with distributor problems that have been making me trace wires here and there. Anyways the pain in the ass is done and she is running again.
                  Today I did a heck of a lot of sanding to the point that I am sick of sanding lol. got a few pics to post. One is of my brake booster hose, another is the oil pressure switch setup. autometer and the awesome factory idiot light and a few of how its sitting at the moment. also with the fender hanging so you guys can see how she is sitting height wise. ok on to the pics. enjoy people.

                      I'm using a Scirocco rad - inlet/outlet on the same side (your choice of driver/pass if you get them from Summit). Nothing a little 1 1/2" ID steel tubing can't fix.



                      Edit - what I noticed is that the 2 main obstacles are the center hood latch support bracket, and the headlight plastic buckets (have those handy when you mock up the rad, they take up more room than you think)...on mine, I just scrapped the center hood latch support - there was just no freaking way to make an 'ok' rad (imho) fit with it in place - I haven't checked any of the honda stuff, but since I live in triple digit temp. land, to me more cooling = teh win. With the headlight buckets, I trimmed them as much as possible while still allowing the upper grille to still be able to latch on.

                      Looking forward to seeing how you solve the space issue, it's no easy feat.

                      For the engine rocking problems, don't screw around, AWR mounts and be done with it.

                              well i think im going to get a custom rad made up. Im going to try something a little different with mine. today i went to my local home depot and got some supplies. Im going to make my rad out of wood, when i get it the way i want im going to take it to my local rad guys and get them to make me a rad using my wooden one as a template. I will post up pics maybe tomorrow of it depending on what i get done. Oh and I think im going to take your advice dan and just get some awr mounts to be on the safe size
