well guys here is a couple of shots of my wood rad. total it cost me less than $30 using pine. I still need to add the tabs for the rad brackets to keep it in place but you can see where im going with this, both my outlets are laid out as is the rad cap neck. cheaper to lose $30 bucks than to have a custom rad made with a bunch of measurements and then have it not fit.
I should do it in a nice cherry stain. lol

you should design something to sit under the rad support man, it'll free up so much room and keep the heat away a bit more. I know you're keeping a/c, you'll just have to play with the lines a bit.

            either way looks good!

the lines are not the biggest problem, its the stupid center latch and bracket. Im trying not to disfigure the front of the car much.

that clearance to the motor is insanely dangerous for the radiator
make it smaller & tuck it underneath the rad support a bit. you'll regret it otherwise.

With AWR mounts it won't move as long as the crossmember is stout (i.e. no previous accident bent back, etc). Under acceleration, the front of the engine wants to lift up.

One thing you can do is hang the engine on the 2 side mounts, take off the tranny mounts and crossmember, and use a jack at the front of the engine to pivot it up and down and check your clearances.

When I first read that you're making the rad. out of wook I thought you're mocking the GTR guy for his wooden gauge mounts....

well guys i made a second mock up rad. This one would have the tanks on the sides with a cross flow core, I can kind of tuck it in the rad support to give a bit more clearance and im able to still retain the center lock and bracket. its tight and im going to move the condensor foot pegs but it looks like it will clear. Got a few pics, one is with both rad ideas side to side.

Because the space is tight I am going to slant the rad a little so i can have a longer core (inch and a half longer) plus it give me just enough space for me to run my slim fan

Lol, I just figured it would be smarter to do it this way so I can see something actually in its place to judge if it will work or not, and it cheaper then finding out later after i get a rad custom done. Just trying to keep ahead of the game and try to save some money.

                            its a 12" slim fan 1550 cfm

rad is a 14.5" core in height and 23.5" length with a 3/4 inch thick core row. I have room for a 1 inch thick core if need be.

                              ok heres my question

1.) is your fan a puller or pusher?
2.) are you going to leave the fan on that sire of the rad?

casue i have a slim fan on mine, but its a puller, and its on the opposite side yours is, AND its on the out side of the rad.

im thinking maybe if i mount it like you did it will techniqly be a pusher and cool the engine bay off a lot more nicely

Mine is reversable so you can use it as either a puller or a pusher.and yes that is where im going to leave the ran. Honestly where you have your is good. I really dont think its going to make a difference at all if you change the position of the fan. the same amount of air is going to pass through the rad when the fan is functioning.
