yup their was some trimmming needed for the fmic to fit. you can mount the intercooler lower and their should be no trimming needed but then u have to worry about ground clearance. but me i love whut steve has done and the mounting position on my car is perfect.i got old men in 05 porches doing a double take a look at my car lol ultimate sleeper

Well remember this EGT bumper is on a Protege. On a escort it requires little or no mods depending on the shape of your car.

I had to cut out the bumper support between the 2 mounts. I trimmed the support flush with the bumper for looks and a good fitment with extra room. You only need to cut this much if you are running a fmic. Then I took off a alignment plate on the mounting studs of teh EGT bumper, caue the studs werent quite long enough. Then I had to redrill a mounting hole on each side the car cause the mounting holes arent the same. It took about a hour to get it to mount the way i liked it.

the gold car lives on! what other parts do you have from that junker?

glad to see the car is finished and you're happy with it.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

Its not the shell of the gold car. Its my old fwd shell. But it does have parts from the gold car in it.
