Seems that rear wiper is very area related, as in Finland nearly all (if not all?) 323 hatches were sold with one. I did remove it from my old 323 and my new one's previous owner had removed it from it. I think it looks much cleaner without it, though this hatch model gathers a hell of a lot snow and **** on rear window without it.. Once went on a ice circuit with my old one and it had about inch thick layer of snow on its ass

But yeah, everyone with his own style, I would and did sacrifice it on the altar of looks B)

Edit: But that 3rd brake light is something unforeseen for me! Seen only the ones that come inside behind the window.

I think all the 323s in Canada, at least Ontario have a rear wiper. Or let's put it this way...haven't seen one without it yet haha.

Either way, if its a DD I would have kept the wiper assembly, in the winter snow just collects like mad!!!

Good call on the 3rd brake light delete, you'll have to weld the hole unfortunately, it's the only thing that'll perminently keep it flush, filler will sink in eventually.

i thought all 323s had rear wipers, at least everyone i have seen did. i allways hated it, i know snow ill sit on the rear window but i never used the one on the explorer so i didnt think it would be a problem. im going to weld metal there then bondo it. it will hopefully be done today.

all i did was weld in the metal, bondo, block sand with 80 grit, bondo and block sand with 80 then 240, then spot puddy and block with 240, prime (3 coats) and block sand with 320, then paint (3 coats)

i still have to wet sand with 2000 and clearcoat it (3 coats)

My 1990 323 doesn't have a rear wiper. I think all 1991(?) and up have one in Canada.

I didn't even know the 323s came without a rear wiper, all the ones up here (including my base model with only 1 side mirror and my GTR) have one installed. I've also seen a few running around with a top wing and sunroof, though none in the JY have those two items.
