what year/car did this tranny come from? I'm assuming a 90-95 MR2 (SW20)?

90179-22015 for the nut.
42428-14010 for the cap.

My AE86 uses a similar setup for the front hub/spindle.

If nothing else, you could get a large flatwasher, drill it out to fit the diameter of the axle, then use the toyota setup on top of that, so you'd have a flat area against the hub, if the nut itself is too skinny...

so the shifter is all set after redoing the mounting plate

clutch is bled, seems to actuate just like stock. the pedal feels kind of soft but i've also messed with the slave cyl size and the length of the throwout arm. i'm just hoping that this pressure plate clamps as hard as its supposed to, a soft pedal always throws me off.

working on these damn 99 escort spindles...what a mess. i have to stop by ford tomorrow to get new snap rings and grease seals so i can put the new wheel bearings in. in the meantime i've cleaned them up alright, and they will be getting either paint or powdercoat

Two questions:

How are you adapting the speedo to work with the Toyota transaxle? What would a ballpark price be for the trans mounts (don't need passenger side motor mount)?
