        i allready have the awd set up working in my mazda gtr with over 500whp

        its been in for about 2 years now

        i pulled it down this off season and did allot of head work and installed nitrous aiming for 650whp

          i said the NZ guys did it first, unfortunately you were to busy to sell me a kit so i had to figure it out on my own lol

              speedometer is pretty darn close. i fired it up on the jack stands... 2000rpm in 4th was reading 36 MPH. it calculates out to 38 MPH with a 23" tire. close enough to be negligible with our inherently inaccurate tachs and speedos lol

                i found my speedo to be spot on when i checked it. there are 1/4 mile videos on youtube over 100 videos of my car in total posted by random people.

                i wouldnt say burnout videos are useless ive won 4 burnout comps in it and only entered 5

                  the axle nuts ive been waiting for are sitting at the toyota dealer, picking them up later!

                  just waiting for my radiator fans to come in, but those are easy to install later. should be driving it tonight!

                    drove it about 100 miles this evening. around town, here and there, etc, just trying to break in the clutch

                    boosted once or twice to about 10 psi and the fkn clutch slips. hopefully it holds better once i put some more miles on it, but i'm pretty pissed right now about that.

                    do 6 puck clutches require any special treatment/abuse/etc to make them break in correctly? i've been googling and ACT's reccomendation is 2-3 HARD slips allowing it to cool down completely after each one.

                      the 6 puck i just put in seemed to get better the more i drove it. the more id slip it the better it grabbed afterwords. i put on about 450-500 miles before i actually got into it hard, it seems alot better than what i had. whats yours made of, mines a ceramic copper mix....

                        did you set up the height of the flywheel to suit the clutch plate? cos mazda oem clutch plates are allot thinner than other manufactureres like toyota etc and the pressure plate maybe over compressing and loosing tension from working too far into its stroke

                          its a mazda pressure plate, with a custom disc made to mazda thickness and diameter w/ a toyota center hub. step height is stock.

                          its a copper ceramic friction material, supposedly the same stuff ACT and the other big names use.

                              I had the same issue with my copper/ceramic 6 puck john,also stock pres. plate, after i did my turbo install, Jeff took it around the block and immediately started boosting it lol as did i , and I did get an occasional slip for the first 500-600 miles... then it was all good, never slipped again, even doin stupid sh!t lol, dont stress it too much you should be ok, (BTW this was with an 8lb alum fly)
