the BPT specs are so close to the stock BP cams you could just throw some adjustable cams on there and get it almost spot on. no need to regrind anything.
i swapped cams because of the additional lift, mainly. i had BPT cams in there already.
ryan, overlap is difficult to calculate because there is no standardized way to measure opening and closing between different manufacturers (which i mentioned above). i adjusted the gears so that my lobe center angles are in the same place as the BPT cams... should be close enough for now.
a little extra overlap isnt such a horribly bad thing either, especially with the high boost levels i'm running. i'm still pulling 21" of vacuum at idle so its definitely pretty minimal overlap.
