I ain't heard nuthin on that mythical plate and mt hood was the only rally I was able to run this year. Big White was this weekend but my halfshafts are still on thier way back home. 60 stage miles and they were toast. Hopefully the outfit that made em was able to remakes em so they don't burn up quite so fast. Maybe the fancy silicone boots'll hold up better.

'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Really you can put whatever motor you want into a rally car. You just aren't eligible for points.

^^^ depends on the sanctioning bodies and organizers. I have no doubt you could drop w/e the fudge you wanted in there, and the ORGANIZERS will let you run , but like Matt said though.. points are no-go son

"There's a hierarchy of insanity in motor sports. Normal people think all racers are crazy. Folks who race sedans think people in open-wheel cars are nuts. People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

Freakin machine shops, my last engine got destroyed cause the ftards used locktyte on the crankshaft and engine bolts. The remains of locktyte got into the bearings and cylinder walls rendering the engine useless.

So the car is at a bodyshop that says they can rescue it from my screwup last rally, but they needed some parts. There's a picknpull half a block north of 'em, and it so happens that have 3 bg pros sitting there. So I got a bumper core, and a fender liner, and some sheet metal; The entire frame from the centerline of the driverside shocktower to 2" behind the codriverside headlight bezel. Sawzall level: boss
What the heck did we do before we had cordless sawzalls?

So here it sits, till I get time and fuinds to put it back together, hopefully in time to run Mt hood rally in October if that event goes as planned.
I'm thinking I am going to leave the new bits in thier original color. That way every time i open the hood I can remind myself to not be quite as much of an idiot when I'm rallying the poor thing.

They sleeved the rails internally, and re-beefed the shocktowers. I don't think it's lost any structure. They also mentioned that they found and fixed some old damage on the pax side. Since I hain't crashed the right front, I reckon it's really old damage. Curious to see how it goes when it's back together.
