The interior is still so much better than the escort. Look at the door panels. If shipping didnt cost so much i'd try to have some of those door panels shipped over here. Also what engine mount are you looking for? From what car?

The radiator is from a Saab 3.0lt V6 Quad cam also, 2001 model i think? i forgot the chassie code

the engine mounts im using are naturally from a MX3/Eunos presso V6
but i appear to be needing the V6 Engine mount holder (where the thing bolts to the body) as i have the engine mount (bolt hole with rubber thing) the mounts to wide for the 4cly engine mount holder...

so far ive been unable to find one, so its put a small delay on the build

Big update from well over 1 month ago!

ok so ive had a few to drink right now (weekends RULE) . so time for a update

Founds the engine mount holder and the powersteering lines.
cost me a bit but it was needed as i couldnt get started again with out them... and just to be a Bitch about the whole thing..now that the lines are fitted..the Radiator cooling hoses on drivers side now dont fit ...**** so back to the DIY board again

had to jimmy up a BG front PS cooler to the V6 PS lines, now the bumber fits, Note to all, EC Eunos lines will not fit a Furd lazor! also to note the furd laz0r did not have ANY PS cooler lines up front!

Arr.yee be stopp'n me good , 14-22v single 50mm piston vs 2x 27mm pistons.. so a little more travel in the pedal but with a pad that has almost 50% more area..should balance out the fronts OK and not effect the rears too much

Brake pads are so much bigger.

Going into BNT Tueday next week (next door to work) so i can DIY test fit some AE111 super strut brake rotors to the BA hubs with the 4 stud bearings fitted
AE111 are 275x25mm vs 276x22mm for the BA v6 rotors but 5 stud
On paper they appear to be 2mm out overall from the normal BG rotors... so hopefully they fit with out much worries

Brought me some of these on Monday too, just waiting for the to turn up

            Advanti CPO35 racing wheels

            Uploaded with ImageShack.us

            15" 6.5" and 40P offset

wrapped with Achilles 123 racing tyres (semi slick-ish)
its a controll tyre they use for many racing classes over seas and for the Suzuki class here in NZ ...very cheap so very afordable. someone said they are great for the price! $168 each

Im currently looking for another KL-ZE engine as the one i have leaks from the rear bank , dude i got the motor from did say it overheats, thought i found the problem being a hole in the metal line between the banks...guess it wasnt that ! so hook a AMAZD brother up if you find one...i got cash ready etc etc ...etc.

            Next Part

            so ....
got me a new engine today
            102,000km, cam belt already done
            mazd0r MX6 KL-ZE.. manual
and i bolted some shine's to it

me and my friend johny red lable helped put it together
bolted all the bits needed for a weekend install

i may even be able to start it this weekend if all plays out well

still waiting on my wheels...hurry the Fudge up..its been almost 2 weeks!

            Next part

            Its alive.....ALIVE

and now leaks P/S fluid like a bitch.....why Sad

i''ll post a video soon.... started 2nd pop..found a air leak and wouldnt idle

ran the car with just the headers for about 40 seconds...at about @8:30 last night...i think my neighbours still like me?

            final part
            nearly there

            small todo list now;

get the exhaust flange welded up , full 2.5" system.
get vacume line to brake booster
rewire the knock sensor, its over the otherside of this engine
remove the B5 Doch fuel pump and hook up the gtx pump
get the CV and axles sorted and fit them to the car
            replace wheel bearings too.
remake the radiator cooling lines , drips water .
relocated the batter somewhere else? boot or wheel arch?
get another fan and hard wire 1 of them to 12v
            get braided brake lines
put brake upgrade on hold until i know the new wheels clear the calipers?

            fill gearbox with fluid

not hard to do by Friday next week Smile

i really wish there were some Lasers in Ontario...hell even Canada, I don't think i've heard of anyone importing one yet! IDK why either! I'd rather have a Laser than the Mazda 2 door varient (aka 323 lol).

BTW: What did you do with your old wheels off the Laser? Those were ENkei RP01s, right?

Ah... i was hoping you would sell them.

I have RP01 Special Editions (the black w/ blue lip) on my Celica. Would love to have another set for the Escort.

                                102,00km on it ya see
so it better be smooth or else
                                still awaiting new wheel bearings...

now ive read about 30 pages of KL-ZE swap and i still do not have a straight answer

can i use NORMAL BP (BG) axles with the KLZE swaps?
some say yes...others so no..they bind?
which makes no sense as the KL blocks are shorter than the BP blocks, so techinically BP axles are fine? if not too short??

help me out if you no the answer

                                fanks!!
