Yeah---FIA, RA, and NASA rallysport spec---I'm a Nasa rally tech inspector and I think we're the most lenient...sigpicwww.piercemotorsports.com www.piercemotorsport.com Like us on facebook http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/p...91292610897146

Just installed another one of JRALLY's (Roodwerks) motormounts...they fit nice...Also got a chrome air intake (that I'm betting is going to last about 1/2 a stage) thingy to get a big 3" air filter on...It's got Haltech so no mo' airflow meter deal...
Incidently I entered an escort pic in a contest for a friend---if you have some time and want to help him win a trackday, please go to the escort/motorsports section and click the link to vote. i'm curious. proly a stupid question but...
when you build a car for someone, do you consult w/ them over every purchase you make for their car, or do you just go with your best judgment following their idea of what they want the finished product to be, and than in the end, bill the owner of the car?1992 Ultra Blue Metallic EGT - The 'scort with no name - crap>reliable daily>rallycross prep>stage rally

"There's a hierarchy of insanity in motor sports. Normal people think all racers are crazy. Folks who race sedans think people in open-wheel cars are nuts. People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

Not a stupid question at all! You have a conversation about what their desires are, then what they need to make it happen, then finally what it costs. We go over a budget, find the safest-lightest-fastest parts/design/whatever available and then go from there. I get 100% of the money for parts up front and then 50% of the labor up front. When we burn through the labor, or the customer wants to add a part I either pull money from an escrow account or credit card weekly until it's finished. This way there are no surprises, and no one runs out of money in the middle of a job. I talk more people out of building racecars and buying already built cars than anyone I know in the biz---most people have no idea what it costs labor/parts to put something nice together...For instance that white escort is for sale for less than $5k---I sold my Grand-AM car (SRT4) for less than $15k. I consistently find Rolex GT cars for under $100k that cost twice that to develop...You do know exactly what your getting when you build it, but you have to be careful...sigpicwww.piercemotorsports.com www.piercemotorsport.com Like us on facebook http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/p...91292610897146
