Looks like I'm going to have to tap the oil pan for a new return location... Stock gtx return is very sketchy with the adapter plate lowering the turbo like it does.

Well I already knew the oil pan was going to be an issue even before I got the adapter plate. I sat there and played with all of my options for attempting to use the gtx port. All ended up not being a good idea no matter how you look at it. I gotta change my oil anyways, so tapping it isn't going to be a problem at all. I'm waiting for the fittings to hit my mailbox today

Just got back in from tooling around and it looks as though I'm going to be in the clear with the solution that I've come up with for the drain line.
List of stuff that needs to be done in order to finish up
1.) Finish cutting/flaring/painting the new sections of intercooler pipes.
2.) Buy a 1.5" UJ pipe to fab up my dump tube for the wastegate.
3.) Tap the oil pan, drain oil, flush the pan to get out any metal shavings left behind from tapping and then change the oil filter before replacing the oil.
4.) Finish hanging the new exhaust piping. I won't be running any muffler for the time being.
5.) Wire in the wideband.
6.) Fill with coolant.
7.) Put some fresh gas in.
8.) Do a once over on everything.
After all that, it's go timeLast edited by jinx; 07-06-2010, 04:37 AM.

Anyone happen to know how much oil is being pushed around while the engine is running? I was thinking I could get a tad more room with the oil drain line if I put it to the lowest oil level where it would be when running..

I'm glad I decided to tap the pan that I picked up from shawn.... There's no way in hell I would have ever gotten all of those shavings out. Man I hate doing the damn oil pan gasket mazda for not using a one piece gasket.
