Been working on getting the MS installed and the new harnesses with Shawn for the past few days. She was being really bitchy about turning over at first, but we finally got it to start up and run for a brief period at around 11pm last night we still need to work on some harness related stuff, add a couple mods to the MS, and iron out a some bugs that are left in the system. So far success! For the past 3 days, I've only slept about 5hrs and this all started Friday morning by finishing up the 323 at Shawn's so we could move it up here. time.
so... it runs????? what bugs/mods were taken care of
it runs but due to still tweaking the COP stuff (for the purpose of simplicity on not derailing the thread, let me just say the miata COP guide is missing critical info for anyone using it not in a miata)
it was too late to keep starting it and tweaking it to idle right but it just indeed start and run.
next is finish adding boost, fan, and launch control, as well as a ms shift light.
then finalize all the wiring routing and take it for a drive and tune.
this may seem like a long process but we only used 10% of the factory wiring and rewired things the way he wants it from scratch. no nasty 20 year old harness here!

Brand new + simplified = Win! I'm actually debating on redoing the charging harness to make sure everything is working at 100%, it's overkill, but you can't really go wrong with having it refreshed.

i have a spare, so lets do it
i have enough heavy gauge wire to redo air-force one's harness

We finally got it running good at 1am this morning. Status report - MS is running, wiring harness is like 97% done besides relooming it, COP's functioning, finally idling steady on it's own.. Awesome!! Here's a video Shawn took as soon as the car held it's own idle solid ( ignore the loud ass ticking lifters, they've been dry for quite some time ) http://static.photobucket.com/player...224_014854.mp4
sounds like a nice solid idle to me too! congrats man!
When I was in the US last, I used this "marvel mystery oil" and I never had HLA noise in my old Protege after that, I really wish I could find it here lol.
