The trailing arms were from Altrom, my local Jobber hooked me up $43.45 each + Tax.

Trailing arm is red in this diagram

The MaZda Stealership gives me 20% off. (I am the manger of the local Speed Shop). They touched me where my bathing suit covers to the tune of $373.50 + tax for the 4 lateral links.

I was past the point of no return. (I ordered all new parts for the MX-3 rear Suspension). If I were to do it again I would order new 323 lateral links from Altrom. They were less then $40.00 each. Then I would rob a 97-up Escort of it's trailing arms, rear hubs (big drum brakes) and re-bush the trailing arms with Energy Suspension Part# 4-7123G $52.99 Retail (at my boutique speed shop), you could likely find them cheaper LOL. If you really want rear disc brakes get an Escort GT set-up. MX-3 Callipers are supposed to be a pain in the ass too. MX-3's have a different sway bar set-up too. They use expensive little sway bay links $42 / $44 each! The 323 is 15mm narrower then a MX-3, but you could make it up in wheel spacers.....or leave it.

Yep same ones from Altrom, I got them from Part Source too. American's don't have Parts Source's so I made it general American's Part source = Pep Boys LOL (Not sure if Pep boys offers Altrom) For the US dood's, I would just ask a couple of parts stores if the get stuff from Altrom, somebody will

Hah. Cool thanks for the info. I already have the rear end from my mx3 gs, but it sat out through all the snow. So I was looking to give it a nice refresher.

I've got the ES bushings to do the bushing retrofit in the mx3 TTLs if you're interested in those? I have no use for them, I think I have enough for 3/4 TTLs.

Talked to Ted, turns out my engine was in the Warehouse
Smart fence that Ted, with race wars aproaching and all.

The Warehouse was called Eagle Japan Motors in Mississauga.

They had two straight neck KLZE's in stock. The first was an Automatic AWD! It compression tested it and was not all that impressed by the numbers, and it had one scary looking oily spark plug.

We dug out another and the compression was 225PSI across the board. So i bought it.

                      Some random Pics of JDMness:

KLZE installed in my 323 (rear engine for the ride home)

I had a ball, did not look like they were too into MaZda's. The only MaZda stuff they had were about 6!? MPV engines and the two straight neck KLZE's. Mostly Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Suburu stuff. I was surprised at the little 323 on the way home. My hope, was I could reach near 100KMPH (as not to get run over) on the way home, but surprisingly It was like the KLZE was not even there, I was going 130KMPH in the hammer lane all the way home. My beater 323 is an autotragic, but it only has 150000KM's on it.

150k is low! wow lol. Ya I've driven with a good amount of weight in my old BGs. Subframes and transmissions were a breeze to tote around.

I hear you with getting the engine near the end, especially with JDM engines as they come with a short warranty, and you really wanna get some mileage in while the warranty is still valid lol.

ya my "new" 323 feels like a Supra compared to the 480000KM 323 it replaced LOL

Got the engine home and on the stand.

This thing is ugly LOL, this will be the before pic, before I clean it up and make it all pretty. Importer said their facility in Japan is out door, which makes sense since the KLZE and everything there is covered in an inch of dust and bird poop
