Had big plans of getting the engine in today. The engine hoist had previously been messed up by my son. He unscrewed the valve right out, and got soaked with Hydraulic fluid. I filled it back up, but it has never worked right since. Today it would not lift anything.

Wire brushed the shipping paint off the Pacesetter's

Painted them with my favorite high tech header paint (BBQ Paint) LOL

Put the power steering bracket, pump, and belt on. Got the alt bracket and disty and wires on. The wires are all over the place for the short term. Just painted all the ignition wire holders.

Put new output seals and a realese bearing in the trans

Bolted the resurfaced MX-3 flywheel on. Ya it is not painted LOL

Put the ACT clutch on it.

Engine & trans hanging from the Hydraulically challenged "crane"

Bought the cheapest oil and filter money can buy to flush out the KLZE on start-up.

The KLZE AWD's only come in Automatic. I refilled the lift through the fill hole with fresh fluid.

Yep the 1978 Mustang II Mach 1 V8 t-top is mine to. I have had it for 19 years. It has a 1991 H.O 5.0L with an Edelbrock top end kit and Edelbrock nitrous kit. It runs 12.40 slippin' and sliding on BFG T/A's It would likely run high 11's or bust with slicks.

It was a epic project also

i know that with some lifts you have to have it tilted while filling it to fill it properly.

Priced the replacement cylinder, it is $99.99. SOLD! Honestly spent at least 4 hours facking with it and an untold amount of Hydraulic fluid all over me, and the floor, trying to force it in the tiny fill hole.

                              Thanks for the compliments

Fooled around at the garage for a couple hours today. Used a old school chrome coil bracket as my new fuel filter bracket.

Trimmed the coil cover to become the new fuel filter cover.

                              Finished smancy fuel filter bracket.

Located and found bolts for all the engine & frame mounts.

Put my new Hydraulic cylinder on the engine hoist.

Found a last minute issue with the headers. There is a ginormous threaded metric port in the header for the non-existent EGR line. Some how manged to remove the rusted nasty looking EGR fitting off the old K8 (MX-3 engine). I am going to pound a bolt into it, weld it up and fashion myself a EGR plug.

not running the EGR system? keeps your intake temps cool yo.
