The long term reliability of Plasti dip has not really been proven. It is PVC, which is the same stuff aluminum siding is coated in.The way I figured it, was the coating can be easily be removed if it gets damaged, so it is worth a try. From my research it does not really come off unless you want it off. I used 10 cans to coat mine. I think 8 cans would have done it. I did the recommended 4 coats. It takes a half hour to dry so, I basically walked around the car four times. By the time I got back where I started it was ready for another coat.
Thats actually a good idea for rims. Get sick of that murdered out look just peal it off

My previously restored headlights got stolen, by my own daily driver!! So I cleaned up another set with the Mothers Buff ball and plastic polish.
I put some new Piaa bulbs in. I may put a HID kit in it eventually. I have the same ones in the Mustang and my other 323. I like them, they don't scream aftermarket bulb, they are just white and bright.
I put the headlights, hood pin lanyards and scuff plates, grille, rear spoiler, rear washer nozzle, window trims, and the antenna on. The headlights were modified a bit to clear the rad, but thankfully the original grille mounting was not affected.
I lightly tinted all the lights with Nite Shade tinting spray.
