Before stoopid mother nature ended my fun (Blizzard) I worked on the car for a few hours. Installed the new sun & flame.

                .....and the new windsheild trim.

I made driving light brackets out of hardware store 8" shelf brackets. This killed two birds with one stone, as the bracket seconds as a plate holder. My stock plate holder was bent beyond fixing. I trimmed the brackets to size and added a few holes. I have already painted them black, so no worries LOL.

I thought the rear plate lights were burnt out, but they were actually working, they were just very, very dim. The whole thing looked like a fixture off the titanic, so I decided to start from scatch.

I used a piece of aluminum and a 3M backed strip of L.E.D's to build my creation. Soldered the original plug onto the L.E.D strip. I ran the wires through a rubber grommet and drilled a few holes to mount it to the bumper. It looks and works much better then the old one.

Oh....the novelty plates were for mock-up purposes, in Ontario you need to have a proper plate front and rear. LOL

Had hoped to wire in the Stereo and fog lights, but mother nature had other plans for me. (snow shoveling)

i like the led's but i would consider a lip that would slightly cover the led's and direct the light downward a bit more .. like maybe 1/4"

Not so much with N20 Copper is still king. When running Nitrous, Platinum, Iridium etc are not recommended.

Thanks guys. I must correct myself, I learned you can use iridium plugs with nitrous! I have been dragged into the fuel injection age, but I am not ready to give up my copper spark plugs.....yet. Platnum is a big nono though. (It melts off the tips).

The car is getting there. Next-up stereo wiring and restore/fix/clean/paint the interior. Hopefully the nitrous kit gets here soon, it would be ideal since all the wiring has not been fastned down yet. I was stressing about the interior, because I have no room to lay it all out to paint it. My shop is full of crap and the 323 and my garage at home is full of broken Mustang. I used to roll the car into the driveway, but lately there has been like 10 cars in the driveway (rented shop). I just got the furnace in the store room at my store fixed, and then I had a great/horrible idea. LOL. When the furnace broke, I just closed the door, and thought who really cares if the store room is cold, but it got so cold back there, my computer server would not work.

Very unseasonably warm weather had me changing my plan of attack today. I decided to take advantage of the nice day and dig out and paint the interior. I drove! the car out of the garage and into the sun. It really needs a wash, but it was nice to see it outside.

I spent half the day looking through my Mazda crap. Looks like I saved three 323 interiors, which was good cause I was able to get one fair conditioned one by picking, and choosing through all of it.

I scuffed all the plastic with a 3M pad and cleaned it all with a wax and grease remover. This was a much more epic project then I expected.

I painted it all with Duplicolor flat black interior paint. I used this on the dash previously, it works really good. The interior is now all satin black instead of, green, blue, and grey

Next round I am considering, painting the blue back seat black to match the MX-3 front seats. In time I plan to replace the MX-3 seats with black Suede aftermarket units. The MX-3 seats have seen better days. I need to paint the front seat brackets and instal the whole works too.
