    Figured I should update this thing LOL ended up being able to scrounge some $$ together to buy a winter car, which didn't involve selling any of the turbo bits! So that's not bad lol, I have a work log for the new car, it's a 1991 Mazda 626 LX with working a/c.

    I've managed to do a few things to the BG before I started working this past Monday.

    Installed a full Pacesetter catback exhaust, I had cleaned it all up and painted it with the satin ceramic VHT paint...seems to be holding well. Also repaired a leak in my downpipe.



    Only pic of the axle back, was welding the front part to bolt up to the downpipe lol.

    Also have a few pics of my car during the car shows I volunteer for.





    Wash/detail day the Sunday before I started work lol, I'm with the guy I replaced actually lol

      pretty nice that you didnt have to sell the boost bits, now shes lookin like an ugly duckling compared to that cherry 626 though

        Hahah yea, tell me about it! I so just want to get some full bodied coilovers and drop an FE3 in the 626...AHHH!!! ....Cannot ruin daily driver and turn into racecar mode lol ( I repeat this daily LOL)....

        I'm partially happy the 626 is the colour she is, reminds me more of a Grand Marquis compared to a sporty car LOL. Might slow things down for me a bit.

            Well she's been off the road for a few months now, I start her up once a week and move around a bit lol...

            Been collecting parts as I can lol but with Christmas coming up I'm pretty tapped.







            New in box KYB rear struts (hey they were $50 lol), SS U/J bend, Forge 004 BOV, a few fancy couplers, and the VJ11 compressor housing/WG actuator I'll be converting over to when I get re-do my radiator support and FMIC piping should only have 5 couplers since the BOV plumbs that way lol.

            I'm off to get a radiator support, front subframe, sold looking rear strut bar and a few other pieces tomorrow from a friends Escort he's scrapping. It's from Arizona? I believe, either way it's clear and I'm grabbing some parts! haha.

                  For the VJ20 on the car, I'm ditching the flanged outlet lol plus I think the VJ20 WG actuator is acting up since it's boosting weird lol...it'll hit 7-8psi then slooooowly climb to 10. Sometimes it won't go past 7 and feels extremely laggy lol

                    So a few things have changed in the last week, been thinking about everything and doing a thing I hate called "budgeting" and it came down to this lol...I could easily dump 4k into the BG and still not be happy with it...so my plan is to leave the car as is, and enjoy it for a month or so after the snow is gone...then part it out and save for a proper BG8R or potentially something else fun.

                    The 626 will get the coilover sleeves, short shifter, gauges and see if the trailing arms will swap over (poly goodness on +97 Escort arms) along with a bunch of new stuff that I'll talk about in 626's thread lol.

                    So basically everything will be for sale around June, so save yer pennies if you want something lol.

                          Old thread, I know, but where did you get the FMIC piping for this car? I need to rebuild mine and if I can find a kit like yours, It would save me a tone!
