well before this falls off the first page of worklogs lol
i've sanded the underside of my 94' hood in hopes to have it primered by next week, then after next pay...i can pick up some white paint and start painting/installing misc things
been using sanding pads for the hard to reach places...gotta say, the engine bay sanding won't be as bad as i thought lol.
well got lots done today! the front end is fully disassembled and i've sanded down the upper rad support and the right side of the engine bay as well...making progress! finally!
going to prime, paint and hopefully clear coat the engine bay tomorrow! also going to try to swap in my ST front springs and hit the inner fender wells with white bed liner spray!
engine bay and the front of the chassis were primed, painted, and clear coated today, turned out real nice, also painted my front grill and the underside of the '94 hood.
no pics, sorry guys lol, got some bad news about the jdm rear bumper i was supposed to buy, then i just lost interest in snapping pics.
List to do: (mainly so i don't forget lol)
-buy 1 more can of color matched paint, primer, and clear coat
-paint hood hinges/brackets, left & right trans brackets
-install hood hinges/brackets
-install under-hood insulation (dyed black)
-sand and paint hood latch arm
-bend crap out of hood latch arm to fit slanted hood
-clean fender plastics
-re-install and align front end
i've also got to get my flywheel machined, might get it lightened...running low on funds lol $200 in paint isn't cheap. Then I'll be saving for the BP!
nope the firing order is in the proper order lol things were just moved around a bit to clean it up, i'm actually going to the modifying another harness so the plug will be on the passengers side along with most of the bulk harness so it'll be hidden better
also my clutch should be arriving today, i'm going to try to call and have it set up for pick-up since i'm at work lol...strut bars come in tomorrow too! then my rockauto order should be here next week along with my machined flywheel
well i've cooled off about the rear bumper, i figure i'll stick to the original plan.
got my clutch in the mail today, also picked up some rear tokico blue struts for a good price.
The clutch has the same stickers as my old Competition clutch they sold me last time haha, so I'm happy I have the same clutch again
Tokico's brand spankin' new, its a shame i'm going to cut them up
Also here's a shot of the front grill i painted (poorly, just wanted to use the last 1/4 of a can lol)
WELL! Tomorrow I'm going to start re-assembling the front end, probably rocker guard the inside of the fenders first, its good for sound insulation too lol...the blue hood looks kinda cool on a white car tho
Also going to be getting a set of front Energy Suspension swaybar endlinks & frame mount bushings since I can get at the bar pretty easy w/o the drivetrain haha. Might just get them locally since shipping to Canada blows...
So tomorrow you'll see pics of the engine bay and how the car looks with its new 94 nose
also got my front and rear strut bars in, here's the rear installed...i think there's an engien bay pic with the front strut bar mounts sitting there lol.
but YEA, this is how she's sitting as of now, have the engine harness de-loomed and i'm going to start moving wires around when ever i get some spare time!
