    drum ebrake? or disc?

here's how you fix a drum ebrake

-Press out that pin, grind it down smaller then where it slides on the upper half
    -Grind smooth the 3 face's
-Grease the hell out of it. put on a new press pin(the piece that holds the 2 together) clean out the grooves/knurl & reassemble

@bpt323: yeah, I mean, no. That lever I already covered with some earlier writings. But when you mention it - I can't understand why in hell did U put so much grease on that little lever in the drum? That part is only there for auto-adjusting the brake pads, but that's something that happens on every first braking right after you've taken off the drum cover, and had putted it back on (for which you had to push brake pads inwards in order to cap goes all the way in it's place).

The thing I was having problem was handbrake lever itself, and in the meantime I have found the solution.

So here it is... some new job and findings

that is the lever point which actuates when the E-brake is pulled sir. the auto adjustment is the knurled point on the other end(not pictured)
without having that point throughly greased. it would be certain to seize up again

I'll check it out to see in what condition the lever is, and will greese it's a$$ out if it's all back as before leaning to seizure, but I see your point and you're absolutely right.

im guessing that you want the interior to be extra quiet?

let's put it this way, if there's "money is not an object" statement, I would probably build maybach out of this 323 lol, but as it's not, I'm tryin to do it as affordable-quiet as possible...

I already covered the inner side of the outer body parts on doors, sections behind doors (and below rear side windows), roof, and had trunk covered with every leftover peace of EMFIband (same as "holy" dynamat but with down the earth prices, and reasonable effect).

I left floor as it is - as there was already some damping material on it "by default".

After putting this underlayer beneath the carpet, even in the "empty" car (no seats, naked booth, no plastic panels on the rear end), I must say the difference is quite noticeable. Will see how will this work out at the end, but it'll surely can't be worst :D

I really like somewhat quite interior. Not too quite like maybach or mercedes, lol, but definitely quieter than '90s standard :D
