I received a wonderful surprise today in the mail, my smoked VW side blinkers. So I spent this evening starting the fab work. I think it turned out pretty good. I wanted to push them as far as possible into the fender. My original plan was to just use plexiglass, but it is not legal here. So I thought the from VW would look good. I remember mazdaracer doing this a long while back and was always a bit jealous, so here's to you man!

Started the bondo work on the roof, rocker panel and driver's side back fender. The fiber glass enforced body filler worked out really nice. I have some super fine putty, that I'll use after sanding. Sorry no pics yet, left my camera at work.

Finished the body filler work. Turned out pretty good, but I'll let a profi finish it 100%. I started painting the engine bay. Turns out 2 cans of paint just isn't enough.
I found a j/y here that I can pull parts at. I picked up a new door and the piping for gas filling. The old one was completely rotted out, but that was for the DD.
The project is getting closer and closer to being painted. Let's get to the pics.
