I have a sealed system in my car, no overflow resevoir, or anyway to releive pressure if mine overheats lol but i also removed my thermostat and my fan runs constantly

Is it possible you have a faulty thermostat? maybe try removing it just for trial purposes?

yea i took my thermostat out also casue i thought it was bad

and i havent gotten a new one yet so yea, but when i did jsut cap the system off and there was no way to relive pressure it jsut built up so bad it blew 2 heater hoses, so i new that was a no go lol

ive been reading over on PT an theres a specific thread on boosted water temps

and people are seeing around 210ish while creuising, and as high as 240 sitting at a light

theres a local guy in the area that ran a 14.6 or something all motor probe stock DE stock Clutch, he sai on the freeway he sees temps at like 210-230

so i seem to be in the range as everyone else

KL's do tend to run really hot, and they hold there heat... I would always have to let my car sit for atleast 4 hours before touching it, otherwise the valvecover alone would burn ya

When my engine (b8) was spitting coolant through the tank, it was a head gasket problem. Changed headgasket, problem fixed.

On the other hand, my overheating problem came from a faulty t-stat that was stuck open.

my N/A KL sits about 190 while driving. sitting it creeps to about 210. i turn the fan on at 200. if i let it sit though it WILL overheat.

man that engine bay looks so dirty

today i painted 2 of the IC pipes, fuel rail adapter, and pass. side motor mount black
i also wire wheeled a few bolts so they look almost new, and cleaned up the mount itself with the wire wheel

i also spent a good 3-4 hour detailign the engine bay (mineral spirts and a tooth brush)

the IM looks like it rolled off the line

cleaned my plug wires a bit more (look a lot more blue)

cleaned all my connections and the plugs them self

ill post some pics up whenever i get a chance, within a few days the engine bay already looks completely different
