Well, since one of them broke I'd say not. More care was definitely needed considering how much I paid for them and that it's made of glass.

I was so frustrated by it I went out and changed out my fuel injectors with the Kia injectors (ended up cracking/snapping 3 of the 4 harness connector tabs >:| ), changed my old side mount battery terminals with top mount terminals, and put RP oil in and oil filter on my car.

At first the idle was rough and low and was afraid I screwed something up, but after an hour or so the idle picked back up to 900-1000 and smoothed out...I guess the car had to figure out the new injectors.

I bought some materials for a DIY oil catch can for the PCV to manifold. Will post pics later of the set up. I think the filter I bought is a little over kill for n/a, but it was the only one I could find.

DIY catch cans! Sweet, I want to see it when you're done with it lol. What are you using for the oil collector/body? I plan on modifying this small SS drinking bottle I have lol

I should put up a pic of my emergency diy oil catch can. I think you'd get a kick out of it!

Haha yah i remember that one. Mine is definitely larger. I plan on putting it together and hooking it up tomorrow.

The filter is a husky compressor filter, the glass retaining element is surrounded with a slotted metal shroud to protect it. The in and out ports are 3/8 in size. I think im just going to run the filter that came with it rather than stuff it with steel scrubbers.

Its rather hefty, about the size of a baby bottle.

Wow, they didn't have one that big when I was looking for one. Then again it was an emergency, and I didn't have the time to shop around. Mine is a husky too, but only the size of maybe a tall shot glass, lol.

Lol, yep! I have been known to Mcguyver some s***, lol. And Mcguyver did have a mullet! It's the only thing I could come up with on short notice to stop the "smoke screen" under boost, lol. It works too! I recently picked up a greddy oil catch can to replace it though.

That's a great idea for a catch can!

OP that looks like an Exedy torque convertor you pulled off, it's very similar to our TK design we used to run. Btw does anyone know how you replace that valve on the valve cover? I broke mine when I was pulling the motor out.
